Sun Protection

Sunscreens are regulated in South Africa SANS 1557:2013. Research may be obtained from the CTFA. The active ingredients of sunscreens are compounds that absorb, reflect or screen ultraviolet light with the use of active ingredients such as Zinc Oxide and Avobenzone. Sunscreens are regulated. They’re rated based on their Sun Protection Factor (SPF); the higher the SPF, the better the protection against sunburn.
