DermaFix products and animal testing
Many organisations charge an affiliation / membership fee, of which very little evidence is given to show that there is a direct benefit to animals. This affiliation fee would need to be factored into the cost of the product, for which you the consumer pays. Rather than be affiliated with an organisation, we opt to regularly donate to animal welfare groups directly.
While we do not subscribe to any specific animal rights group, DermaFix Cosmeceutical Skin Care takes an ethical stance when it comes to animal testing and, as such, we will not use ingredients tested on animals within any of our product formulations. When sourcing ingredients, we always make sure to enquire from our suppliers that there is no animal testing involved in the manufacturing process.
As DermaFix Cosmeceutical Skin Care makes use of many ingredients, gaining certification for each individual ingredient used would be a very time-consuming and costly exercise, and again this cost would need to be factored into the retail price. A further question raised is who governs the authenticating process?
Where a product calls for an animal derived ingredient, we opt for a synthetic version of the ingredient.
